Directional Boring

Directional Boring goes above and beyond traditional trenching; connecting utilities and services in places that traditional trenching is impossible. It can be used to go under roads, sidewalks, rivers, even houses if there is a need for it. IRE uses one the most modern of boring machines, the Vermeer DX-24×40 Series II capable of boring a line ranging from 3/4” thickness to 16” thickness and can bore up to 500 foot sections at a time. While using its fleet of hydro excavation equipment to spot and verify locations of existing utilities to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

Restoration

  • IRE’s first projects were doing small dirt restorations around the water hydrants throughout the City of Indianapolis for the Indianapolis Water Company. We now do storm, drainage and sewer system repairs and installs along with full restorations from start to finish. Taking pride in every project whether small or large.

Casting Adjustments

  • Indiana Reclamation and Excavating and is Certified installer of the Mr. Manhole leveling system. The Mr. Manhole system will dry cut through asphalt or concrete and remove a manhole casting from the street. The Mr. Manhole system also rebuilds and seals the chimney section of the manhole perfectly level with the slope of the road. With new Casting set and then a concrete collar poured.

Manhole Rehabilitation

  • Rehab instead of replacement of structures can be more cost efficient. Strong Seal is a fast effective solution for stopping infiltration, restoring structural integrity andstop chimney sections from leaking causing sanitary overflow problems, and removes the bump from unlevel manholes. The Strong Seal system adds, structural integrity, stops infiltration of water, protects against corrosion, is safe to use and will not cause back up, and seals the entire structure from casting to benchwalls.
